Bluegrass concert

Posted Sunday, June 1, 2008, at 7:25 PM

Congratulations for all those involved with the first bluegrass concert in Rector, held Saturday at Memorial Park.

The bands were good, and the weather cooperated (although a bit hot right at the start).

Richard Earls was the main organizer of the event and he expects the concert to get bigger and better each year. This is the type of thing I hope we see more of in Rector in the coming months.

It was a relaxing atmosphere and a lot of fun.

. My son Tim had a chance to meet Richard while he was home and he said he was a real nice guy..I am glad to see a young person move in and get involved in the Parks and Rec's. I don't know how long he has lived here but Welcome Richard.. The concert was a great idea, a little something for everyone. The park should be used more it is a lovely place for all to enjoy..
