Mohawk updatePosted Thursday, September 18, 2008, at 12:22 PM
Dillon McNew (33) runs for good yardage in the junior Mohawk's loss at Corning last week. Also shown is Piggott's Collin Speer (69). The junior squad was scheduled to visit Cave City this week for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Directions to the Clarendon football field are fairly simple, once you get to Clarendon. The quickest route appears to be to go to Brinkley and head south through town on Main Street/U.S. 49, you'll make s slight left jog onto Route 17 and a few blocks later will turn right onto Highway 302. That highway will enter Clarendon from the north and will eventually turn into Ninth Avenue, you stay on it until you get to Walker Street. Make a right and the school is down two blocks on the left at the corner of Walker and Seventh Avenue. School officials noted that the football field is directly behind the high school campus. I also wanted to make a correction from my junior Mohawk story this week. I errantly referred to Mohawk junior running back Dillon McNew as Aaron McNew in the story and cutline. I am not sure where that came from, unless I confused him with former Holcomb Hornet baseball standout Aaron New..who knows, but my apologies to Dillon. And to help make it right here is a photo of Dillon running for good yardage in last week's loss at Corning. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
