Reclassifications approved by AAAPosted Thursday, October 22, 2009, at 2:51 PM
The Arkansas Activities Association sent out the final reclassifications for high school sports for 2010-2012 this week. The only changes from the earlier alignments were in 7A-6A football, where the Little Rock schools were more evenly distributed.
LR Hall and Parkview moved to the East and were replaced by Bryant and Cabot while North Little Rock moved back to the Central from the East and Little Rock Fair joins McClellan in the south. The central now includes Bryant, Cabot, Conway, LR Catholic, LR Central, NLR, Russellville and Van Buren. The east will be made up of Jacksonville, Jonesboro, LR Hall, LR Parkview, Marion, Mt. Home, Searcy and West Memphis. The south will include Benton, El Dorado, Lake Hamilton, LR Fair, LR McClellan, Pine Bluff, Sheridan and Texarkana. The west remains the same. In 3A-3 the Bald Knob Bulldogs will join Piggott, Corning, Earle, Harrisburg, Hoxie, Manila and Rivercrest for the 2010-2012 seasons. Meanwhile, in basketball the Mohawk conference foes will be Corning, Earle, Harrisburg, Hoxie, Manila, Rivercrest and Tuckerman. Again, those changes were approved by the AAA this week and will go into effect in the fall of 2010. |
