The Tribe fell to Rivercrest in the third-fourth place game at Corning Tuesday, but are still in the post-season hunt. A win over the top-seeded Tigers would propel the Mohawks into the second round, and they would play again at noon Saturday, May 8. Their second round opponent would be the winner of Friday's first round game between the Tuckerman Bulldogs and Flippin. One win at the regional tournament would earn the Mohawks a trip to the 3A state tournament, set for May 14-17 at Harrison. This week's regional is being played at Tuckerman High School. The four first round games will be played Friday, the two semi-finals are set for noon and 2:30 p.m. Saturday; the third-fourth place game will be played at 4 p.m. Monday, May 10 with the regional championship game to follow around 6:30. The Mohawks will take on Valley Springs in the first game Friday, The Tuckerman and Flippin game is set for 2:30, Manila will play Yellville at 5 p.m. and the nightcap will feature Cave City and Rivercrest. |
