Interesting Weather WeekendPosted Monday, December 10, 2012, at 1:19 PM
After a mostly balmy week, the weather got interesting this week end. Warm front, cold front and of course that means scary weather happenings. Thankfully we only had some rain and wind and now it is winter again. But listen, folks we still need some rain, here and up north a ways. The Mississippi River has virtually got its tongue hanging out for want of enough water. Let's all think rain for a little while. Or snow! I like snow. Yeah, let's start thinking about snow.
Well, I missed the parade. I was working on a few projects around the house and was sure to set an alarm so I could stop and get ready on time. I stopped, got my shower and realized I had plenty of time and I was in need of a little rest so I sat down on the couch to watch a little TV. Then I closed my eyes for just a minute. Yep woke up too late for the parade or the after party. Bummer, indeed.
I was at the water department the other day and met a brand new Rector resident. I want to say "Welcome" to Brian and Holly Wallace who moved here from the distant land of MO. We are glad to have new people and I hope to get better acquainted with you soon.
Lane Wozniak has been on the road again. She has just returned from a business trip to Portland Oregon, where she worked with a brand new client. It was pretty much like old times working on the accounting system we both worked on for many years.
I am going to do some Christmas shopping in town this week. I am going to all our downtown shops to see what I can find. What do you think? Any suggestions are welcome. Did anyone here get to witness the flash mob Christmas carolers at The Mall at Turtle Creek? That would have been so inspirational.
Well that about does it for this week. Please let me know what is happening with you. You can email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org or call me (870) 595-4997. You can even drop me a line at 514 West 3rd St., Rector AR 72461.
Bless our military, especially those so far from home right now.

Christa is proud to call herself a Rector native having been born here. After living elsewhere, she just couldn't stay away! She has now lived in Rector for over 14 years. During this time, Christa has been very active in the community and is the one to go to for current happenings in the area.
