Oh, what a beautiful day. Sunshine, a warm breeze, what more could we want in an April day. Maybe another just like it. The vista is almost like a painting with the spring green grass, trees and flowers in bloom, and sunshine brushing it all. The sunshine was certainly welcome after a rainy week. I hope everyone had a nice Easter with the weather cooperating as it did. It looks like we will be seeing more rain and maybe storms by mid-week so enjoy this while you can.
Sunday was a good day to welcome extended families home for the festivities. Church pews were overflowing. That’s always a good thing.
Please keep the people of Sri Lanka in your prayers as they begin to deal with the aftermath of the Easter Sunday bombings.
It is mini-concert time again, at the Rector Community Museum. Come on out and join us for some musical entertainment with Chrissy Pazanowski on Thursday, April 25th at 7:00 pm. Every time I go in, I notice something new. Thank you to the Museum Committee for giving us this opportunity to enjoy the gifts of the past with good friends and entertainment. On Saturday they will have the official Grand Opening of the Rector Community Museum. That is April 27th from 10:00 am til 4:00 pm. Come and support this glimpse of our history.
May is almost here and with it the end of the school year activities ramp up. The Athletic Banquet is on May 14th at 6:oo pm and the Honors Day Celebration on May 17 at 9:30 am. Of course, the main event, the Rector High School Graduation will be May 19th at 2:00 pm.
