This week is a perfect storm of celebrations of faith. One could call it the most blessed week of the entire year. Wednesday Christians celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. Winter Solstice was Saturday, Hanukkah began on Sunday and Kwanzaa begins on Thursday. All celebrate love and kindness. All claim to reach for peace on earth, a time for souls to rest. This is true of all religions. We are all reaching for a common goal.
Whatever your faith, I want to wish you just that, the comfort of being able to worship as your heart tells you, the gift of love and loved ones around you, and a heart that stays open and accepting as well as giving. Don’t let the bustle of the season erode the blessing that are yours. It is not the price of the gift you choose or the wrapping, that counts. It is the thought, the touching of one soul with another that makes the season bright. Merry Christmas to all regardless of how you worship or where.
