Upcoming shows

Posted Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 4:36 PM

There are several car shows set for this coming weekend across the region.

The Current River Cruisers will host a show Saturday, June 19 around the square in downtown Salem, Mo. Registration is set to begin at 8 a.m. and judging starts at noon. Pre-1985 will be judged by MAACC judges and calculated on a 100 point system. All 85 and newer will be judged separately, but will not be eligible for best of show. The show is being held in memory of Ken Ellis.

Sunday, June 20 the Route 66 Car Club will host a show in St. Clair, Mo. for their annual Father's Day event.

A variety of classes will be judged, and proceeds benefit the club's scholarship program. The show is open to all 1989 and older American made vehicles.

For more information call 636 584-7090.

It was also noted that Tom Rainbow, the pinstriper that was at our show, will be on hand doing hand painted pinstriping and lettering.
