Rain, rain go away!

Oh my stars.....I can't believe I am going to say this and if I were home in Rector I know that I would not be saying it...Rain, rain go away!! You got it, my whole family decided to go on vacation together at Destin, Florida. In February I found a house on the internet, not just any house I found a six bedrooms, 4 bath house, huge living room, kitchen, dining room. This house is on the harbor and has its own swimming pool; it is perfect for all of us. I forwarded to April and she and Michael handled booking the house and collecting everyone's money. Just who is everyone? Mom and dad, April, Michael, Cash, and Colt, Bo, Amy, Trey, and Parker, me and Scott; Bk and Brantley could not make it. So it is everybody! We all left Saturday morning at 3:30 am. We made really good time and arrived in Destin around 4 pm. After we unpacked, the girls went to the grocery store to buy a week's supply for 12 people, we got lots of things to eat for lunch on the beach and planned what we would be eating for supper, by 9:30 pm we were exhausted.

I know everyone knows that I exercise in early in the mornings, and this was no exception. Sunday morning I could not sleep past 6:30 am so I went ahead and donned my tennis shoes and struck out. I ran two miles and then decided to go walk on the beach since everyone was still sleeping at the house. I found a public excess to the beach, sat down and took off my shoes. What a beautiful, peaceful time it was on that empty beach!! As the ocean rolled in, and the seagulls fed on anything they could have I closed my eyes and breathed in the salty air and slowly lifted my eyes toward heaven to thank God for this wonderful gift He had given me; when I noticed how dark the sky was way off in the distance. Luckily, I had just finished my run. Walking home on the boardwalk, I noticed a handsome man walking toward me. The closer I got, I realized the handsome man was my brother Bo!! We stopped and chatted. He told me he was off to get the morning paper and decided to walk the mile down the road instead of driving. Out of the 5 other people I saw out that morning, I thought it was pretty cool that 2 of them were me and Bo!

I went in the house; Colton met me at the door thinking I was his mom. So, Bo, April and I all got up this morning and exercised without knowing that the others were exercising. I guess we are really brother and sisters! I started coffee and changed the trash bag, when Mom came in and told me to be quiet; I was making too much noise! Dang, I really was trying to be quiet! When I left early this morning I was quiet, I shut the door softly and when I came in Colt met me so I didn't even open the door. I was trying not to make much noise. During breakfast, mom realized that I left the house at 6:20 a.m.; then April left at 6:30 a. m. and then Bo left at 6:45 a.m. "Oh!" she said. "I thought Barbi had left, came back in and left again. I got up to tell her to stay outside and stop slamming the door." We all died laughing. Here I thought I was being quiet when I left and April said it sounded like I slammed the door. So, when she left, she thought she shut the door softly and Michael said, "Why did you slam the door when you left?" When Bo left, he to thought he shut the door with ease and little did he know he slammed the door too.

Before April got back the dark sky had reached our house and she was soaked. It has continued to rain all day. Rain and vacation equals shopping! You know us; we make the best out of any situation! Outlet mall here we come!
