Despite the wet conditions many of the car show participants camped at Heritage Park. This shot was from Thursday evening as the original Rod Run crew fed those lucky enough to be on hand.
These folks were first to the fairgrounds and were on hand all weekend with their set of Falcons.

Gary and Teresa Johnson brought these two entries all the way from St. Francis for the the annual show. Based on the amount of interest generated The Piggott Times has chosen the Rat Rod at the right as the winner of our "Dead Grass Award."
Members of the Southern Illinois Street Rod Association visited this year's show, and promised to make a return visit. They were also slated to host a show of their own Memorial Day Weekend.

Weather conditions were perfect for the annual cruise to the Piggott courtsquare, which ran a different route this year due to the change of venue.
Personnel with the Piggott P.D. and the Clay County Sheriff's Department helped with traffic and crowd control.

Over the course of the many years of the cruise the participants have thrown hundreds of pounds of candy, Mardi-Gras beads and a variety of other items to the delight of the crowd.
