Congratulations to Blaine Wilhite on his retirement from the Piggott Post Office after working at the local facility since 1986.

Local Girl Scouts held an end-of-year ice cream party at "The Way it Was" soda fountain in Piggott.
Congrats are also in order for the lcoal Special Olympians who took part in the state meet at Searcy.

Mr. and Mrs. Davey Winberry also marked a milestone in their marriage in June, and were pictured "way back when."
Sheila and Ricky Vaughn lost their travel trailer to heavy winds back in mid-June. A center-pivot irrigation system was also blown over by the winds further south along Highway 139.
Magician Tim McGowan of Paragould is assisted by Eric Davis of Piggott in his performance at the HIPPY gradution last week at Corning.
Tim Lynxwiler and his family enjoyed their second visit to the Piggott R/C Modelers Spring Fun Fly and took home several awards.
No Fun-Fly would be complete without Snoopy and his Sopwith Camel-doghouse.
Happy birthday to Piggott Community Hospital, which marked it's grand opening and ribbon cutting on June 17, 1979 and officially opened its doors to the public on July 1 of that year. This is the new section of the facility, which was added much later.
