State Rep. Mike Patterson hosted this reporter and his family on a visit to the state capitol in February. This is the governor's conference room where most of the public events are held. The portrait in the background is that of former governor Mike Huckabee. Gov. Beebe's portrait won't be displayed until he leaves office.

If you've never visited the Arkansas capitol you've missed a treat. Here Alyssa Blair is pictured on the huge marble steps, with the rotunda pictured in the distance. If you live in Arkansas the capitol building is partly yours, go visit it sometime..you'll be impressed.

The capitol historian maintains displays in the lower level of the building. This is part of one of those displays, and features Native American artifacts from Jones Mill.

The Arkansas state capitol has three domes, this is the main one in the center of the building. There also are domes over the House and Senate chambers.

A DWI prevention program was presented to PHS students prior to prom.

The Piggott Fire Department held a retirement fish fry in March. Those on hand included several previous retirees, such as these seasoned veterans.
