The Rector Cougars concluded their 2005 football season in Earle this past Thursday, bowing out with a 74-7 loss. It was a one-sided contest throughout, as the Bulldogs held the lead all evening: 34-0; 50-0 and 63-0. The game took a bad turn early, as Rector was dropped for a one-yard loss and a safety on their first play of the game. Approximately 10 members of the community joined the city's firemen, police and the Rector City Council to review the city's emergency preparedness plan at 6 p.m. Monday evening at city hall.
