Ticket sales underway for banquet

Ticket sales are underway for the Rector Area Chamber of Commerce annual banquet to feature Rector native Bill Carter, an attorney, television producer and author who now resides in Nashville, Tenn. The dinner is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the Rector Community Center. A large crowd is anticipated and early ticket purchase is encouraged. The 'Hounds broke out the big sticks on Monday, topping Manila 9-6 in 3A-3 play. Marmaduke benefited from solo homers by Caleb Bell and Jonathan Beck en route to earning the win. Bell finished a perfect 4-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Jacob Mason was 3-4 with an RBI.
