The past two years in a row the Piggott Lady Mohawk volleyball team was eliminated from the state tournament by the team from Lavaca, a team that last year then went on to lose to Brookland in the state championship match. This year it came in the second round of competition, and it took the Lady Golden Arrows five games to send the Piggott girls home.
