Body of missing Missouri woman found (05/19/10)
The search for a missing Missouri woman came to a tragic conclusion Tuesday. The body of 49-year-old Shirley Stratton of Bernie, Mo., was located approximately five miles south of the St. Francis River bridge on Hwy. 90 near Kennett. Boaters first discovered what they believed to be a body around 7:30 p.m. Monday as they were in the area examining drifts in the riverbed. Stratton's body was found caught in a drift in the area...

1970 Negotiations are underway to bring a garment factory to the city and a local delegation traveled to Chicago in an attempt to seal the deal. The group included Lloyd Russell, Bill Irby, James L.
