Weather, crowds favorable for Pollard Picnic (07/14/10)
The annual Pollard Picnic was held Saturday, July 10, as members of that community gathered once again in support of the New Hope Cemetery. The weather cooperated with picnic planners this year and a good crowd turned out for the day-long event. MC Gary Conley welcomed those on hand to the picnic with with the usual opening ceremonies Saturday morning and the annual softball games got an early start as well. ...

Over 50 kids take part in Camp Fit-n-Fun (07/14/10)
Fun Fun Fun!!! That was the order of the day as the 2010 edition of Camp Fit-n-Fun was held recently in Piggott. The week of June 21-25 the U of A Cooperative Extension Service, the Clay County 4-H Program and the Clay County Health Unit were once again able to offer the camp to students going into the third through sixth grades in Piggott schools. A total of 52 children attended Camp Fit-n-Fun this year...
