Talented artists wow Rector crowd (08/10/10)
Artists taking part in Thursday night's Rector concert benefiting the Helping Hands Foundation did more than just perform. They poured out love and energy for a cause they deeply admire and, in return, won the affection of a huge crowd which eagerly rewarded their efforts with applause, cheers, tears and laughter...
School days approaching (08/10/10)
The 2010-11 school year is at hand, with classes at Rector slated to begin Thursday, Aug. 19. Students and teachers have been making preparations for weeks, as the days of summer vacation are rapidly drawing to a close. Classes will begin at both elementary and high school at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19. Classes will dismiss at 3 p.m. In the elementary grades, students who walk or are picked up by car will be dismissed at 2:52 p.m., while those who ride the bus will be dismissed at 2:55 p.m...
