LeRoy Schnabel, 67, of Pollard died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at his home.
He was born Oct. 30, 1933, in Eola, Ill., the son of the late Herman and Clara Elizabeth Poss Schnabel.
He married Evalene Steward on May 30, 1972. She preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 1996.
He was also preceded in death by one step-son, Jack Bishop, and one brother, Herman Schnabel Jr.
He retired from Diamond Wheel in Aurora, Ill., and served in the United States Marine Corp.
He is survived by one step-son, Phillip Ray Bishop of St. Louis; one step-daughter, Evanell Allen of Piggott; three grandchildren, Larry, Jean and Terica; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Quintin, Aliva, Catlin and Bridgett; four brothers, Bill of Weslaco, Texas, Robert of Eola, Ill., Frank of North Aurora, Ill., and Tom and wife, Lorraine, of Ottawa, Ill.; seven sisters, Mary Montgomery of Aurora, Ill., Helen Swanson and husband, Dave, of Plano, Ill., Louise Richard and husband, Owen, of Ellenton, Fla., Bernice Isling and husband, Fred, of Des Plaines, Ill., Ruth Saam and husband, Don, of Yorkville, Ill., Jean Limmer and husband, Mike, of Ramsey, Minn., and Joan Weimer and husband, John, of Yorkville, Ill.; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, in Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Father Glen Eftink officiating.
Burial was in Piggott Cemetery with Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
