Darius Parrish, 68, of Corning died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at his home.
He was born Oct. 28, 1932, the son of the late Porter Street and Ruth Mae Watson Parrish.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Lynn Parrish; four brothers, Donald K. Parrish, Doyle Milton (Bill) Parrish, Roger Dudley Parrish and Wallace Dale Parrish.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; three daughters, Cindy Branham of Pollard, Tracy Read of Brighton, Mich., and Lisa Parrish of Piggott; one son, Michael Parrish of Pollard; two step-sons, Kendall Green and Brad Green of the home; four grandchildren, Rodney Forrest, Brandy Harley, Raven Read and Cody Read; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Tyler Harley; one brother, James Verlin Parrish of McDougal; two sisters, Blake Summerfield of St. Louis and Irma Hadley of Corpus Christi, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today) in Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Eldon Parrish and Leon Harvey officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard with Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Junior Bowers, Randy Parrish, Leslie Parrish, Bob Bennett, Gene Hand and Robert Losh.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wilburn Mullins, Bob Ramer, Jim McCarty and Junior Honeycutt.
