Stelveda Charlene Wood, 79, of Piggott died Saturday Oct. 12, 2002, at Piggott Community Hospital.
She was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Piggott, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Maudie F. Gower Branson.
She married to William Tillman "Bill" Wood on Sept. 11, 1940. To this union four children were born. He preceded her in death in 1964.
She is survived by two sons, Dale and Gale Wood of Piggott; two daughters, Maudinea Conley of Piggott and Linda Farrow and husband, Bud, of Farmington, Mo.; two grandchildren, Joe Wansing of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Chad Conley and wife, Rhonda, of Piggott; one brother, Hershel Branson and wife, Mary, of Piggott; one sister, Nina Fred of Galena, Mo.; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, in Hoggard and Sons Chapel with C.O. Evans officiating. Burial was in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dale Wood, Gale Wood, Chad Conley, Joe Wansing, Bud Farrow and Paul Hoggard.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
