Mae M. McGuire

Mae M. McGuire of Piggott died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at Piggott Community Hospital at the age of 88 years.

She was born on January 16, 1915, in Clay County, the daughter of Andrew and Janie (Winford) Williams. She was one of seven children, five of which have preceded her in death.

She was united in marriage to Dr. J.E. McGuire in 1953, he preceded her in death in 1964.

Mrs. McGuire was a housewife and a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Janie Williams; her husband, Dr. J.E. McGuire; four brothers, Henry Williams, Franklin Williams, Lidell Williams, and Roy Williams; and one sister, Estel Bailey.

Mrs. McGuire is survived by her sister, Bertha Burger, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Many other relatives and friends mourn her passing.

Services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 16, in the Irby Funeral Chapel in Piggott with David Clayton officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Irby Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
