Melvin Barton Harker

Melvin Barton Harker, 84, of Piggott died Thursday, June 5, 2003, in the Piggott Community Hospital.

He was born March 4, 1919, in Boone, Ind., the son of the late Fred and Bessie Nelson Harker.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He is survived by one sister, Wanda Lawrence of Illinois; a very special friend, Maxine Hudson; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2003, in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard with Kevin Murray officiating. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
