She was born March 3, 1916, in Hart, Ark.
Mrs. Dollins was a co-owner of Dollins Furniture Store and Dollins Gifts for over 44 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Mary Jenkins Circle at FUMC; a B.E.E.S. outstanding volunteer; a Silver Haired Caucus Delegate in 1988; Ms. Senior Northeast Arkansas in 1991; a second runner-up in Senior Ms. Arkansas in 1987; and Ms. Senior East Arkansas in 1987.
She participated in State Indoor Sr. Olympics for over two decades winning many dancing medals and ribbons in polka, jitterbug, country western, two-step, and waltz. Mrs. Dollins also won medals and ribbons in shotput, spincasting, stationary cycling, football throw, balloon bust relay, nail pounding, easter bonnet, and the 400-meter walk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chalma May Dollins; her parents, D.L. and Tommy Reeves Smith; and two sons, Danny and Jimmy Dollins.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Jo and Charles Hollis of Greenway; one daughter-in-law, Linda Dollins of Paragould; and six grandchildren, Matt Hollis and wife, Laura, David Hollis, Luke Hollis and wife, Tracy, Jeannie Boling and husband, Chris, Laura Dollins and John Stevens, and Cindy Rhoades and husband, Todd.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at Heath Colonial Chapel in Paragould with Rev. David Moseley and Rev. Jeff Rainwater officiating. Burial followed in Linwood Cemetery in Paragould. Active pallbearers were Matt, David, Luke and Michael Hollis, Chris and Dan Boling, John Stevens and Todd Rhoades. Honorary pallbearers were Kyle, Jake and John Earl Hollis, Tyler Cook, Ty Haney and Addison Boling.
