Archie Saltzman

Archie Saltzman of Campbell died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell at the age of 86 years, six months, and 27 days.

He was born Dec. 4, 1916, in Van Buren, Ark., the son of Fred M. and Callie May White Saltzman.

He was united in marriage to Pauline Gardner on March 23, 1935, in Piggott.

Mr. Saltzman was a retired farmer and a member of the Four Mile Masonic Lodge 212 A.F. and A.M. in Campbell. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Lydell Saltzman and Archie Byron Saltzman, and one son-in-law, Billy G. Hudson.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Saltzman of Campbell; two daughters, Linda Joyce Saltzman Hudson of Princeton, Ky., and Pamela Kay Deckard and husband, Doug, of St. Francis; six grandchildren, Stan Hudson and wife, Pam, Lydell Hudson and wife, Susan, Beth Saltzman, Jason Saltzman and wife, Stacy, Bradley Deckard and wife, Courtney, and Brent Beckard; seven great-grandchildren, Barkley Hudson, Ben Hudson, Josh Hudson and wife, Sammie Jo, Kristy Hudson, Megan Saltzman, Logan Saltzman and Braden Deckard; and one step-great-grandson, Rowdy Frederick.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2003, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell with Rev. Tony Wood officiating. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell. Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of the arrangements.
