Stephan Charles Eubanks

Wednesday, July 16, 2003
Stephan Charles Eubanks, 15, died in a tragic accident June 14, 2003, in Littleton, Colorado.

In 1991, while living near Chicago, at the age of four he was saved when he prayed with his mother at bedtime. In 1998 he made another significant step in his spiritual journey by being baptized by his Dad along with one of his best friends.

He loved "extreme" Bible teaching. His favorite "extreme" experience was when his youth group was taught about Jesus washing his disciple's feet. To make it more real to the youth, peanut butter was used instead of water, spread on bread by their feet, and fed to each other using their feet.

Although he was a teenager he still enjoyed hearing his mother sing to him at night. She sang his favorite songs, "In His Time" and "Psalm 139".

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Alma Delores ("Dean" Young) Eubanks; three uncles, Albert G. Eubanks, Jr., Dennis Eubanks and Jason Eubanks; one great-aunt, Novella Eubanks Gray; and one great-uncle, Merl Gray; and several other great-aunts and great-uncles.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Jackie Eubanks of Englewood, Co.; one sister, Christina, of the home; his grandparents, Charles and Evelyn Moss of Ma.; two cousins, Faye Fewins and LuCynda Warren of Piggott; an uncle and aunt, Edward and Linda Young of Leachville, Ark.; several other aunts, uncles, cousins; and many other family members and friends.

Graveside services were held at 9 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2003, at Chapel Hill Cemetery. A memorial service followed at 10:30 a.m. at Cherry Hills Community Church.
