Thelma Crouch

She was born May 8, 1915, in Holcomb, the daughter of the late William Edgar and Sarah Bean McKenzie.

She was united in marriage to Louie Crouch on Oct. 6, 1933. To this union two daughters were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Crouch; one grandson, Jamie Landers; one great-granddaughter, Delayne Doty; one sister, Loraine Crouch; and four brothers, Dewey McKenzie, Bobby Dennison, Albert McKenzie and Jim McKenzie.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Owen of Piggott and Sonya Holcomb and her husband, Bud, who are also of Piggott; four grandchildren, Beckie Gardner, Donnie Holcomb, Shari Holland and Todd Doty; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everet McKenzie and Woodrow McKenzie; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003, in the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home with Jerry Massey and Shelly Elkins officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donnie Holcomb, Walter Massey, Bobby Burns, Dewey Holcomb, Larry Creek, and Leroy Chevz. Honorary pallbearers were Todd Doty, Terence Landers, Jacob Holcomb and Caleb Holcomb. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
