Madison Blake

Madison Blake, 87, of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Piggott, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, in the Brookview Nursing Center in St. Louis.

She was born July 4, 1916, in Piggott, the daughter of the late Jessie Brown and Hattie Bailey.

She was united in marriage to Clyde Blake in October of 1935. To this union two daughters and two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Blake; one son, James Blake; one sister and two brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma Beczley of Mesa, Az., and Susan Richardson of St. Peters, Mo.; one son, Clyde Blake, Jr.; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; some great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2003, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Dr. James Johnston officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
