Cecilia Watson Bond, 99, of Poplar Bluff, died on July 6, 2003, in Jacksonville, Fla.

Mrs. Bond was born on Feb. 20, 1904, in Benton County, Tn., to George Riley Watson and Mary Jane Smothers Watson.

She was united in marriage to Elmer Riley Bond on Dec. 24, 1924. He died on Feb. 17, 1981.

She was a member of Landreth Chapel Church in Broseley. Mrs. Bond was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Dale Lamar Bond and Carl Edward Bond; one daughter, Mary Helen Dunlap; one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Viola Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Imogene Head of Texarkana, Tx.; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Bond at Twin Rivers General Baptist Church at Broseley at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, with Rev. Fred Applegate officiating.
