Ballard Doyne Mann

Ballard Doyne Mann, 76, of Piggott died Saturday, July 26, 2003, in the Piggott Community Hospital.

He was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Pollard, the son of the late Jeff Davis and Lida Settlemoir Mann.

He was united in marriage to Geraldine Davis on Nov. 7, 1947.

Mr. Mann was a veteran and served in the Army in World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Mann of Piggott; one aunt, Juanita Vernon of St. Francis; one uncle, R.E. Mann of Piggott; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Pauline Reagan of St. Peters, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2003, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Eldon Parrish and Matthew Self officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Wilkes, Lonnie Harmon, Shawn Hager, Harold Hanna, Jason Self and Tom Sims. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
