Geletza Langford

Geletza Langford, 81, of Piggott died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, in the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

She was born June 29, 1922, in Piggott. The daughter of the late Clarence Frederick and Nettie Emmaline Vaughn Jaggers.

She was united in marriage to Lavelle Rieves in 1942, he went down with his ship in the South Pacific Ocean on July 6, 1943. She married Morris Langford on Dec. 15, 1945. To this union three children were born. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1989.

She was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

She is survived by three children, Norman Ray Langford of Springfield, Mo., Charlotte Bernice Wright of St. Louis and Stephen Dale Langford of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Laura Jean, Candice, Victoria, Christopher, Susanne, Stephen and Stephanie; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Armenda Boyd of Piggott and Virginia Prince of California; one brother, Leland Ray Jaggers of Forrest City; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday (today), Aug. 20, 2003, in the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Chapel with Joe Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Piggott Cemetery. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of the arrangements.
