Daisy Morris, 89, of Campbell died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born July 12, 1914, in Campbell, to George Washington and Artie Leona Schaffer Taylor.

She was united in marriage to James Homer Morris on March 28, 1931, in Piggott. He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1980.

She was a member of the Campbell General Baptist Church. The Campbell nutrition center was named after her.

She was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Erma Hardesty and husband, Jim, of Campbell and Myrna Schmieser and husband, Ed, of Ash Grove, Mo.; two sons, Jim Morris and wife, Catherine, of Springfield, Mo., and Larry Morris of Campbell; 12 grandchildren, Carla Glenn of Campbell, Shelby Vincent and husband, Marty, of Campbell, Jackie Davis and husband, Rick, of Strafford, Mo., Karen Vaughn of Little Rock, Rose Marie Smith of Springfield, Mo., Tammy Jo Smith of Little Rock, Debbie Morris and husband, Steve, of Springfield, Mo., Pam Jenkins of Springfield, Mo., Stephanie Morris of Ca., Ray Morris and wife, Amy, of Campbell, Brad Morris and wife, Joleen, of Campbell and Misty Hobbs and husband, Freedom, of Piggott; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Murrel Oliver of Campbell.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, in the Landess Funeral Chapel at Campbell with Pastor Earl D. Dell officiating. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of the arrangements.
