Edgar Tisdal

He was born Apr. 10, 1941, in Hickoria, the son of Edgar Lee and Fannie Satterfield Dobbins Tisdal.

He was united in marriage to Carolyn Sue Busby on Apr. 17, 1958.

Mr. Tisdal was retired from L.A. Darling Company, where he worked as a forklift driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Lee Tisdal and Fannie Satterfield Dobbins Tisdal; and one son, Rockey Dean Tisdal.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Tisdal; three sons, Richey Tisdal and wife, Louise, of Corning, Christopher Tisdal of St. Louis and Buel Tisdal and wife, Linda, of Naylor, Mo.; two daughters, Kathey Kelley of Corning and Kim Ray of Corning; 12 grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas Dobbins of Clarkton, Truman (Buck) Dobbins of Corning, Presley Dobbins of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Leroy Dobbins of Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today), Sept. 3, 2003, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel at Corning. Burial will follow in Cummins Chapel Cemetery in Piggott.

Ermert Funeral Home of Corning is in charge of the arrangements.
