Tommy Ray White

Mr. White was a retired sheet metal worker for Custom Guttering in DeSoto. He was a member of Life Christian Church in DeSoto.

He was born Apr. 23, 1956, in St. Louis, the son of Luther and Patricia A. (Gray) White of DeSoto.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Gaddy; his paternal grandfather, A.L. White of Walker, La.; and his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Lennie Gray, formerly of Greenway.

He is survived by his parents, Luther and Patricia A. White of DeSoto, Mo.; his wife, Reta Diann (Nix) White of DeSoto, Mo.; two sons, Jeremy White and wife, Wendy, of Park Hills, Mo., and Donald White and wife, Amanda, of DeSoto, Mo.; two step-children, Joseph Ordaz and Melody Thebeau and husband, Jason, all of DeSoto, Mo.; his paternal grandmother, Leoma White of Walker, La.; his parents-in-law, Tom and Freda Nix of Dexter, Mo.; one sister, Sheilia Bowling and husband, Derry, of DeSoto, Mo.; two brothers, Michael Jackson and wife, Shirley, and Nathan White and wife, Tammra, all of DeSoto, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Michelle Gaddy of Festus, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Raylyn White, Alexis Thebeau and Matthew White.

Funeral services were held Aug. 22, 2003, at Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel in DeSoto, Mo., with Derry Bowling officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in DeSoto, Mo.

Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home of DeSoto, Mo., was in charge of the arrangements.
