She was born Nov. 28, 1919, in Piggott, the daughter of Eugene and Elizabeth Langley. She was the youngest of seven children.
Her father was a farmer and preceded her mother in death. Mrs. Brady's mother suffered from blindness as a result of diabetes. She cared for the other children and her mother.
She was united in marriage to James A. Brady on March 15, 1947, in Yuma, Az. She cared for her three stepchildren and Jim. She received her GED in 1969. James preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brady had worked for Westinghouse and O'Keiff and Merrit among others before she and Jim moved to Union. She worked as a nurse's aide at the St. Joseph Hospital in La Grande, Ore., where she shared her compassionate spirit.
She was a member of the Union Baptist Church and enjoyed staying in contact with many people through her telephone ministry.
