Stella Coomer, 89, of Hollywood, Fla., formerly of Greenway, died Oct. 8, 2003, in Knoxville, Tn.

She was born Aug. 25, 1914, in Greenway, the daughter of the late Lewis C. and Belle Self Call.

She was united in marriage to Earl Coomer on Oct. 1, 1935, to this union three children were born.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Coomer in 2003; three brothers, Vernon Call, Joseph Call and Charles Call; and five sisters, Veda Crowson, Vira Call, Letha Blackwood, Elizabeth Call and Laurene Edwards.

She is survived by one son, Carroll Coomer and wife, Ida, of Knoxville, Tn.; two daughters, Linda Kay Cotton of Peach Tree, Ga., and Harriet Gail Fleischer of Cooper City, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Richard Akins officiating. Burial followed in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
