Henry "Ben" Williams

Henry "Ben" Williams, 83, of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Piggott, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, in St. Peters, Mo.

He was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Piggott, the son of the late John Elmer and Lucy Gregory Williams.

He was united in marriage to Inez Slayden on Sept. 30, 1939, to this union six children were born.

Preceding him in death were two sons, Carroll Henry Williams and Gailen (Gail) Williams; four brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Inez Williams of St. Peters, Mo.; two sons, Gary Williams of O'Fallon, Mo., and Ted Williams of Lake Sherwood, Mo.; two daughters, Stella Rockwell and Deborah Killian, both of O'Fallon, Mo.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Virgil Williams of Senath, Mo.; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Charles Carrens officiating. Burial followed in the Williams Cemetery in Crockett.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
