Van Ray Haley

Van Ray Haley, 49, of Tunica, Miss., died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at Savage Grain Company in Tate County, Miss.

He was born June 22, 1954, in Kennett. Mr. Haley served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by one son, Justin Perry of Tunica, Miss.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Gail Sledge Haley of Tunica, Miss.; one daughter, Betsy Elaine Perry of Palm Beach, Fla.; one son, Michael Jason Perry of Southaven, Miss.; and one sister, Miranda Cribbins of Russellville, Ark.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at Tunica Presbyterian Church with Paul Husband officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Heath Cariker, Charles Cariker, Duke Perry, William Gidden, Adrian Wyatt, Sam Gidden, Dewight Sorey and Hunter Sharpe.

Memorials may be made to Tunica Presbyterian Church.

Memorial Funeral Home of Tunica, Miss., was in charge of the arrangements.
