Roy McCormick

Roy McCormick, 86, of Bunker, Mo., formerly of Piggott, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Three Rivers North Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. McCormick was born August 20, 1917, in Piggott. He was a retired custodian for school and a heavy equipment operator.

In 1958 he married Lois Alger, she preceded him in death. Mr. McCormick was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Survivors inlcude one daughter, Kay Burkeen of Wentzville, Mo.; one step-son, Everett Claunch of Mo.; one brother, Paul McCormick of Mich.; and two sisters, Margie Arnold of Campbell and Sally Ort of Ill. He has five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Piggott with Tony Woods officiating. Burial followed at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott.

Pallbearers were Friends of the Family.
