Mattie Lee Reams

Mattie Lee Reams, 90, of Dexter, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at the Crowley's Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

She was born Feb. 13, 1913, in Union City, Tenn., the daughter of the late Edward Lee and Martha Jane Barns Roney.

She was united in marriage to the late Emmett Lee Reams on Dec. 6, 1933. To this union four children were born.

She is survived by four children, Jerry Reams of Piggott, Nina Blades of Poplar Bluff, Ronnie Reams of Dexter and Melba Walker of Dexter; 12 Grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Howard Roney of Union City, Tenn.; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Joe Payne officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott wasl be in charge of the arrangements.
