Joyce Marie Hartgroves

Joyce Marie Hartgroves, 57, of Piggott died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, in St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born April 22, 1946, in Paragould, the daughter of the late Garfield and Stella Mae Davidson Douglas.

She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Wesley Hartgroves; and two sisters, Ida Mae Simms and Magaline Douglas.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Whitten of Pollard, Sandra Hartgroves of Paragould and Julie Anne Stanfill of Piggott; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Cody, Nicholas, Cheyenne, Jonathan, Logan and Daniel Wesley; one sister, Faye West of Midland, Texas; the father of her children, Wesley Hartgroves; a very special friend, Michael Neff of Piggott; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Richard Rider officiating. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robin Mesey, Shane Harris, Ray Davidson, Mickey Davidson, Joel Whitten and Jessie Beaver. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
