She was born Oct. 8, 1919, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Chehoydia and Florence Cashion Mitchell. She was a factory worker and a member of the South Canaan General Baptist Church.
She married Bill Coleman, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Ruth Kincy and husband, Zane, of Malden; Janet McElwrath and husband, Steven, of Kennett; Billie Ann Swift and husband, Bill, and Shirley Radin and husband, George, all of Campbell; two sons, Eugene Coleman and wife, Faye, of Piggott and Gary Coleman of Campbell; two brothers, Paul Mitchell of Clarkton, Mo., and Jimmy Mitchell of St. Louis; five sisters, Patsy Mitchell of St. Louis, Nellie Himan of Los Angeles, Calif., Catherine Thompson of Campbell, Dorothy Babb of Paragould and Pansy Cotton of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Josh Carpenter and Luther Crane officiating. Burial followed at the Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.
Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of the arrangements.
