Nina Louise Winberry, 96, of Piggott died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, in the Murphy Health Care and Rehab Center in Piggott.

She was born Feb. 23, 1907, in Beech Grove, Ark., the daughter of the late Ferman Samuel and Artie Louise Rainey Gibson.

She was united in marriage to Cecil K. Winberry on April 18, 1923, to this union four sons and one daughter were born. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1975.

Also preceding her in death were one daughter, and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by four sons, Melvin A. Winberry of Memphis, Howard L. Winberry of Malden, Davey T. Winberry of Piggott and Cecil G. Winberry of Poplar Bluff; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at the First General Baptist Church in Piggott with Rev. Melvin Keena and Rev. David Wigger officiating. Burial followed in the Cardwell Cemetery in Cardwell, Mo. Pallbearers were Michael Winberry, Steve Winberry, Danny Winberry, Ted Winberry, Jerry Winberry, Andrew Winberry, John Winberry, Nick Yount, Kirby Johnson and Mike Butts.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
