Eula Francis Neely

She was born Feb. 5, 1912, in Rector, the daughter of Tom and Nettie Shannon Dowdy.

She was united in marriage to Arley Lee Neely on Dec. 18, 1926, in Clay County. He preceded her in death in July of 1994.

Mrs. Neely worked as a housewife and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Nettie Shannon Dowdy; two sons, Lowell Neely in Sept. of 1990 and Bobby Neely in April of 1999; and one daughter, Margert Keller in Nov. of 2002.

She is survived by two daughters, Nila Kemmery of Troy, Mo., and Nancy Bullock of Mich.; one brother, Pete Dowdy of Rector; one sister, Agnes Bell of Rector; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Irby Funeral Home in Piggott with Billy Joe Dowdy, Jerry Massey, and Kim Bridges officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott.
