Opal V. Duty

Opal V. Duty, 91, of Piggott died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, in the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

She was born March 20, 1912, in Melbourne, Ark., the daughter of the late George and Laura Twilley Reeves.

She was united in marriage to Jeff Duty on Nov. 18, 1944. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1986.

Also preceding her in death was one son, Ronnie Duty; one sister and four brothers.

She is survived by one son, James (Pete) Reeves and wife, Renate, of Piggott; one granddaughter, Laura Worley of North Richland Hills, Texas; one grandson, Steve Reeves of North Richland Hills, Texas; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Cuba Effinger of Piggott; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Kevin Murray officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
