Ella Garrison

Ella Garrison, 94, of Ellis Grove, Ill., formerly of Pollard, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, in Memorial Hospital in Chester, Ill.

She was born Sept. 19, 1909, the daughter of the late Henderson King and Elizabeth Melton McDonald.

She was united in marriage to Alfred Allen on Dec. 26, 1925. To this union six children were born. He preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1951. She was united in marriage to Lynes Garrison in 1952. He also preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Dewayne Allen; and one daughter, Helen Francis Allen.

She is survived by three sons, Bobbie K. Allen of Ellis Grove, Ill.; Eldo R. Allen of Harlinger, Texas, and Gary Clark Allen of Washington, Mo.; one daughter, Linda Sharon Israel of O'Fallon, Mo.; one step-son, Arnold Garrison of Florissant, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Loy Culver officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 2, from 9 a.m. until service time.
