He was born Jan. 31, 1927, in Boydsville, the son of Clarence and Ida Grubb. Mr. Grubb was of the Baptist faith and was a World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ida Grubb; 11 brothers and sisters; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Grubb of Boydsville; one son, Buster Grubb of Boydsville; four daughters, Retha Booth of Jonesboro, Diane Shelton of Success, Ark., Marsha Anders of Peach Orchard, Ark., and Dotty Spinks of Clarksdale, Miss.; one brother, Virgil Grubb of Boydsville; two sisters, Mary Ellen Parker of Paragould and Mavis Evans of Missouri; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, in the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Jerry Massey and Wayne Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004.
