She was born Dec. 3, 1910, in Crockett, the daughter of the late James Walter and Leota Mae Walls Bradberry.
She was united in marriage to Virgil Otto Cochran on Feb. 17, 1926. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1981. Mrs. Cochran worked as a farmer and homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Cochran; one brother; four sisters; and two grandchildren, Larry Cochran and Charles Kenneth Cochran.
She is survived by one son, James Cochran of Doniphan, Mo.; one daughter, Dois Jean Phelan of Corning; one brother, Otho Bradberry of Piggott; eight grandchildren, Dewayne Phelan of Corning, Pam Higgs of Rockford, Ill., Janie Cochran Lafoon of Atlanta, Donna Cochran Britton of Seattle, Wash., Stan Wooldridge of Jonesboro, Jerry "Pete" Cochran of Paragould, Pat Paige of Van Buren, Ark., and Sue of Houston, Texas; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today), Dec. 31, 2003, at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning with Rev. Leon Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in the Corning Cemetery in Corning.
