Doyle Allen "Hot" Blackwell

Doyle Allen "Hot" Blackwell, 52, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, in the Three Rivers Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Sept. 6, 1951, in Poplar Bluff, the son of the late Doyle and Cora Francis Ollis Blackwell.

He was united in marriage to Kelly Ann Merritt on Oct. 3, 1981, to this union two daughters were born.

He was employed by Southern Machine and Tool Company in Poplar Bluff for 27 years.

He is survived by his wife, Kelly Ann Blackwell; two daughters, Katherine Ann Blackwell and Samantha Kay Blackwell; one sister, Dessie Garner and husband, Bill, all of Poplar Bluff; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Boyd Wicker officiating. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
