Jewel Causey, 73, of Senath, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at his residence in Senath.

He was born April 21, 1930, in Piggott, the son of the late James R. and Addie Keith Causey.

Mr. Causey was married to Virginia Wagster on Feb. 10, 1950. He married Drenda Wilson on July 22, 1972, in Senath.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Ed Causey.

He is survived by his wife, Drenda Causey of Senath; three sons, Jason Causey of Senath, Larry Causey and wife, Shelly, of Piggott and Steve Causey and wife, Belinda, of Paragould; one daughter, Sherry Galyean and husband, Darrell, of Piggott; one brother, Donald Causey of Blytheville; one sister, Ruth Hunter of Tulsa, Okla.; five grandsons, Kris, Dustin, Chase, Chance and Brice Scott; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan 4, 2004, in the McDaniel Chapel in Senath with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating. Burial followed in the Senath Cemetery with family members serving as pallbearers. Pallbearers were Jason Causey, Larry Causey, Steve Causey, Brice Scott, Kris Causey and Chase Causey.
